Family Counselling Center

Family feuds and disputes are the biggest threat to our family system. On account of modernization, urbanization, lifestyle changes and professional stresses relations within a family have come under strain. In these families the children are the worst sufferers. The center provides a third party counselling service with the aim of reconciling the unhappy couples who have come for help. The varieties of problems that come to this center include cases of physical abuse, Alcohol/drug addiction, dowry, extra-marital relations, economic and legal issues etc.

When a couple decides to attend the Counselling center to resolve the disputes several sessions are arranged for either party individually by the two qualified and trained family counsellors appointed here. If an agreement is reached, a statement is signed and the couple is reunited. If not the matter is handed over to a legal advisor and the case proceeds to family courts.

Since its inception in July, 1985 3346 cases have been registered and the success rate of the center in statistical terms is 80%.
