In 1968, idea of an organization to run the social and educational activities conducted by Social welfare Board, Government of Rajasthan. was mooted by Smt. Nagendra Bala, a noted social worker and member of Social Welfare Board of Rajasthan. To implement her vision foundation of an institution was laid through efforts of Shri Anand Laxman Khandekar, freedom fighter and renowned social worker, Shri Shambhunath, Shri Mahaveer chand Bhandari, Smt. Prasanna Bhandari and Shri Rajendra Singh. To host the activities, Bhabha sa, revered mother of Smt Nagendra Bala, donated her old haveli to the institution. Accordingly the organization has been named to commemorate goddess
Karni Mata, kuldevi of Bhabhasa, as
Shri Karni Nagar Vikas Samiti.
The organization was blessed to receive contribution and support from many noted persons of the city including Smt Yogendra Bala, Sh Narendra Singh, Sh. Satyaprakash Sharma, Sh. Sunderlal Chaturvedi, Sh. Abdul Gani, Sh C M Saxena , Smt Prasanna Bhandari and Shri Mahaveer Chand Bhandari made outstanding contribution to the organization over the years. Presently Smt. Prasanna Bhandari is rendering his services as president of the Society.
